The combined community of minor planet occultation observers by E.A.O.N. (European Asteroidal Occultation Network) and IOTA/ES was crowned with success last year observing the occultation of a 5.5 mag star by the minor planet Tercidina.

Only 4 days before this years ESOP – late evening August 26 – the trace of  MP 420 Bertholda occulting TYC 5757-00353-1 ( about 9 mag ) and detectable by our video-equipment crosses the middle of Europe. We are prepared to observe this event with a cord of stations.

We try hard to show first results at Trebur.

(This report will be suppressed if the observation was impossible due to weather conditions. We then will have a longer coffe break)
